How I came to write this e-book about Search Engine Optimisation

It fascinates me how each of us are now capable of putting a few words together on a webpage and upload that page onto the internet so that potentially, the whole world can access and read those words.

But like me, you probably started with a website that can only be found if you type the domain name in…

Hi, my name is Sheldon Nesdale. I believe that websites are the ultimate marketing tool. For very little money and in a short amount of time, you can develop a website that converts visitors into paying clients day and night.

Dollar for dollar, I believe there is no better advertising medium.

And I should know, because I completed a Degree in Electronic Commerce (with First Class Honours) through the University of Waikato, majoring in Marketing and Communications, and that was my conclusion after 4 years of study.

But early on I realised that just having a website wasn’t enough. You must drive visitors to your website if you want to achieve your goals. And the amazing thing about Google is that you don’t need to spend any money to make that happen. You just have to learn how to put a few search engine optimisation techniques in place to help visitors find you.

When I first heard about Google, and did my first search, I was immediately impressed by how relevant the first ten search results were! I have been fiercely loyal since that day. Other search engines just don’t do it for me. Now, people all over the world don’t need to know your domain name, they just need to type in what they are looking for, and if Google believes your webpage has information on that topic, a link to your website will be provided in the list of search results.

I have spent the last 5 years learning about Search Engine Optimisation.

I have built 20 websites for myself, for clients, and for my employers (many under my brand “Firstbyte Websites”). Each new one I create, benefits from my accumulating knowledge and interest in this area.

I now have my formula for search engine optimisation perfected and I apply this formula to each new website I create.

That formula, is what I am going to share with you today.
